RUIXIN 1 CBM Underground LHD Loader Shipped to African Copper Mine
Project Background
Recently, RUIXIN completed the production, factory testing, and shipment of a 1 CBM Diesel Underground LHD Loader for an underground copper mining project in Africa.
The customer was looking for a compact and reliable loading solution for underground ore and muck removal. The LHD will work together with underground mining dump trucks to improve the connection between loading and haulage operations.

Customer Requirements
The copper mine has a typical underground working environment with limited tunnel space, restricted turning areas, and repeated loading operations.
The customer needed equipment that could:
- Load blasted copper ore efficiently
- Operate in confined underground areas
- Maintain stable performance during repeated cycles
- Match the mine’s underground haulage trucks
- Reduce unnecessary truck waiting at loading points
Instead of selecting a larger machine simply for higher bucket capacity, the customer focused on finding the right balance between loading productivity and underground maneuverability.
Working Conditions
The LHD will mainly be used for loading blasted copper ore and waste rock after underground blasting.
The basic material-handling cycle is:
Blasting → Mucking → LHD Loading → Truck Haulage → Dumping
In this environment, machine size, bucket capacity, steering flexibility, and power configuration all affect daily productivity.
The loader therefore needed to be compact enough for underground tunnels while providing sufficient capacity for continuous loading operations.

The 1 CBM bucket provides a practical loading capacity for underground applications while keeping the overall machine configuration suitable for confined working areas.
Why Choose a 1 CBM LHD?
For this project, equipment matching was more important than simply increasing bucket size.
A larger LHD could provide greater loading capacity per cycle, but it would also require more operating and turning space. In narrow underground tunnels, this can affect maneuverability and cycle efficiency.
A smaller loader, on the other hand, could require more loading cycles to fill a 10-ton-class underground mining dump truck.
The 1 CBM configuration provides a balanced solution between these two factors.
The diesel-powered design also allows the loader to operate flexibly in areas where fixed electrical charging infrastructure may not be available.
By coordinating the 1 CBM LHD loader with appropriately matched underground dump trucks, the customer can reduce loading-point waiting and establish a smoother underground material-handling cycle.
Factory Testing & Delivery
Before shipment, the LHD completed RUIXIN’s factory inspection and functional testing.
The inspection covered key operating systems, including the diesel engine, hydraulic system, steering system, braking system, bucket lifting, and dumping functions.
After completing the final inspection, the machine was prepared for overseas transportation and shipped to the customer’s African copper mine project.
On-Site Application
After arriving at the mining site, the 1 CBM Underground LHD Loader will be used for underground copper ore and muck loading.
The loader will work together with underground mining dump trucks to complete the material transportation cycle from the working face to the designated dumping area.
This equipment combination is designed to improve coordination between loading capacity, truck payload, and operating cycles, helping the mine achieve more consistent underground material handling.
