Tips for protecting the headlights of a Underground mining dump truck

How can you avoid problems with 12-ton underground  Mining Dump Truck headlights?

The ‘soul’ of headlights is its bulb. Poor-quality bulbs have a short lifespan and cannot guarantee stable quality. They also lack brightness, fail to converge properly, and have a limited range, which can cause visual illusions and easily lead to accidents. Therefore, when modifying headlights yourself, proper maintenance is crucial. Just like changing oil and filters on schedule, headlight bulbs should also be replaced regularly. If there is indeed insufficient brightness, it is recommended to replace the bulbs, preferably both sides at the same time to avoid uneven brightness. Adjust the car lights yourself. It’s actually quite easy to do so when there are issues with the headlights. You can choose a dim environment, such as an underground parking lot or outdoors at night about 5-6 meters away; turn on the headlights and cover one of them with a non-transparent thick cloth. Mark the light pattern on the wall with a marker or chalk, and also make a mark at the position corresponding to the front emblem (directly in front) of the car on the wall; measure the distance between the marks of both headlights and the emblem position, ensuring they are roughly equal. Then, refer to the vehicle’s user manual to adjust the height of the light beams. The right headlight should be adjusted to shine horizontally, but not too high to avoid dazzling the drivers of oncoming vehicles. The left headlight’s beam can be slightly angled to the right. The entire process takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
